About East Coast Elevator Removals

About Us

East Coast Elevator Removals specialises in elevator removal and landing header upgrades while delivering safe and reliable outcomes for builders, strata managers, lift companies and most importantly, building occupants across Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.

With over 30 years of experience in construction and 15 years in the elevator industry, we bring a unique skillset that combines deep technical understanding with practical site delivery. Our team holds over 35 years of collective lift industry experience, and we’re proud to work alongside some of the region’s most respected building and service providers.

Understanding most elevator removals are carried out in occupied buildings—whether residential, commercial, or mixed-use, our team’s management experience ensures minimal disruption to residents and occupants by ensuring a clean, safe site and employing methods and equipment selection that minimize noise, dust, and odour.

Built on Experience. Driven by Results.

With over three decades in construction I (our founder?) bring a wealth of knowledge to every project. From managing some of Sydney’s largest residential builds in the Meadowbank and Rhodes precincts to leading the construction of the Village Plaza Meadowbank shopping centre and later to site manage a 13-storey mixed-use development in Darlinghurst, we’ve honed a results-driven approach.

Alongside this experience, I hold a Diploma of Building and Construction, giving me a strong foundation in structural principles, building compliance, and site management. This formal training complements my on-site knowledge and supports a deeper technical understanding of every stage of the construction and management process.

For the past 15 years, we’ve focused exclusively on the elevator industry, mastering all aspects of elevator removal, upgrades of landing header and car door operators, lift modernization and full rip out/replacement. Our experienced team will assess and advise

No job is too small or difficult – in 2018 we safely removed two, 12-tonne hoists from the decommissioned Masters Hardware site in Bundall, QLD, a project other contractors wouldn’t even quote.

We believe in doing business differently: prioritizing results, relationships, and accountability over corporate overheads. While we subcontract for major lift companies, we also offer a direct, personalized service, delivering expertise without the bloated costs of multinational operations.
